General meetings are held the last Thursday of every month (except December) at 6.00pm. Meetings are usually held at the Griffin Centre in Canberra City.
Everyone is welcome to attend (members and non-members).
During our general meetings we like to show films and docos, discuss upcoming events and generally socialise with like-minded people who are concerned about animal rights.

In support of the Greens’ bill to ban the battery cage in the ACT, Free Range Canberra and ALACT members participated in a supporters’ walk across Commonwealth Bridge. Three ‘free range chickens' lead the way with the 60 strong crowd behind them holding placards and handing out flyers to passing onlookers. The walk started at the National Library and continued across Commonwealth Bridge to Acton Park via Floriade. We finished with a relaxing vegan BBQ by the lake.
Earlier that day one of our ‘free range chickens’ was photographed holding the “Ban the Battery Cage" banner in the annual Canberra Times fun run. A number of photos were featured in the Canberra Times.
